I had an idea for a tattoo, but I couldn't find one image that captured everything I wanted it to say. So I started with two different images and began bringing together the pieces that meant something to me.

From there came pieces of other images, countless edits, and a whole lot of moving this, changing that, and trying again. Little by little, the idea I could see in my mind became the image you see here. 

And when it was finally right, it meant enough to me that I made it a permanent part of who I am.

That experience showed me something: sometimes the image you're looking for doesn't exist yet. Sometimes, you have to create it.
